Bella Luna Arabica Beans
Bella Luna, the premier brand Coffee Reserve produces, uses only the finest Arabica coffee beans, carefully selected from around the world to produce exquisite single origin blends.
Do you ever want to know more about your mug of fine Ethopian, Kenya AA, or that enticing cup of Costa Rican Tarrazu coffee? The two main species of coffee used in coffee production are Arabica coffee and Robusta coffee. Arabica coffee accounts for approximately 80% of the world production, because of its superior taste. Most specialty coffees in the United States such as Kona, Mexican, Kenya, Sumatra, Ethiopian and Guatemalan coffees are Arabica coffees – among the finest coffees in the world.
This variety of coffee requires a tropical or subtropical climate to thrive, and is currently grown throughout Latin America, Central and East Africa, India and parts of Indonesia.
Arabica coffee grows well in the subtropical regions at a high altitude up to 7000 feet. Equatorial regions such as Kenya, Colombia and Ethiopia provide a higher altitude and frequent rainfall that is conducive to growing Arabica coffee. The Arabica coffee plant produces a berry that ripens; each berry containing two seeds, which are the coffee beans. Of course, not all coffee beans are created equal – soil quality, climate and elevation are only some of the factors involved in the quality of an Arabica coffee. Harvesting methods, processing of the beans and how they are roasted will determine the balance of flavors and aroma of the Arabica coffee beans.
